Hi there and happy more than halfway through May. I can’t even believe that my kiddos are nearly done with school and I’m going to have a third grader and a Pre-K little man. Someone please so down the ride.
Here are six things that are my current favorites right now. For more, definitely follow along on Instagram (@themodernsavvy) or join our private Facebook group, The Savvy Squad. And, by the way… how fun is this little message above? It’s from the Instagram account @squaresayings… really into it and how they use those cute little beads.
Treasure & Bond Wedges
You can also wear them with shorts, dresses… basically, your go-to shoe this summer (and next). If you’re between sizes, size up. I’m usually an 8.5 or 9 and the size 9 fit me perfectly. And yes, totally random but I do have slightly large feet considering I’m 5’3. I get this a lot.
Sunday Riley Good Genes All-In-One One Treatment
I finally tried “Good Genes,” known for its cult following to quickly reveal brighter, happier skin. Turns out it has a cult following for good reason. After just one use, my skin immediately looked and felt better… even after a few minutes my skin felt softer, and after sleeping with it overnight, I woke up to brighter, smoother skin. Even Adam commented, and what guy notices this stuff at all, let alone at 7:15 am? The five percent lactic acid plumps the skin and gently exfoliates, getting rid of any dullness, even texture, dark spots and minimizing fine lines and wrinkles. It’s also free from parabens, sulfates and phthalates.
I was leery if it would really work so I purchased the Sephora sample size for $28. The full-size is $105 but without sounding like a crazy fanatic, it’s worth every penny. I’ll for sure get it after I finish it. It’s available at Sephora and Nordstrom.
Instagram love current favorites: @HappyGreyLucky
I love a good new Instagram find and Sina and her family at @happygreylucky is my newest obsession. They are so stinkin’ clever with their photography, photo editing and styling. Each photo brings such a smile to my face!
Hatch Baby Night Light & Sound Machine
We’ve been working on Evan’s bed time routine (OMG, someone pour me a glass of wine) and we thought a soothing sound machine could be a great option. I found this Hatch sound machine & night light after searching on Amazon and we’ve been so incredibly happy. It’s the perfect dim night light, and the sounds are so soothing. We’ve been lazy but you can also connect it to your phone in order to control it remotely… so helpful.
ZIPIT pouches
We are very in love with ZIPIT! Sarah needed a coin pouch last year and obviously I went to Amazon… we got this cutie, and it was such a hit. These fun little monster faces are so fun, and can unzip all the way in the coolest way. It’s basically made from one long zipper!
We just got Sarah this zipper pencil pouch and it’s such a stand-out among the basics you see elsewhere. There’s a bunch of sizes & colors — check them out here — and each in multiple colors. As a mama, I can confidently say ZIPIT is super durable, creative, unique… and just really cute and fun. I seriously want to justify purchasing one for myself. 😉
Junk Food x Mickey Mouse collection at Target
Have you guys seen this adorable new collection? The brand, Junk Food, known for its super soft tees and casual gear, has debuted the cutest collection with Disney at Target. If you’ve ever shopped for cute Disney gear you know this is worth scooping up at these bargain prices (I just ordered a coordinating family ensemble for a future trip!). Even the pins are so cute to add to a jacket or backpack.
The price point, mostly all under $20, is perfect… as is the vintage vibes and cool details. I’m also wishing I had a little girl because — HOLY CUTENESS.
A heads up sizes are going quickly. Shop the current favorites collection here.
