I’ve received a ton of questions about these denim shorts I recently picked up so I thought I’d show you a more dressed up way to wear them. If you recall, I first wore them here with the cutest sweatshirt and sneaks; I wore this outfit for a girls’ brunch a few weeks ago.
The denim shorts are by Treasure & Bond at Nordstrom and I’m a huge fan of the distressing and boyfriend style look. The photo on the web site shows the pockets hanging out the bottom; they’re not as exaggerated in person.
Want to dress up your denim shorts? It’s easy! A few tips:
Avoid the flip flops, and go for a cute wedge like this pair or this open-toed option, an adorable slide, a detailed sandal, or this fun espadrille sandal.
Skip the t-shirt and think “blouse” or “top” with fun details, or something a little slimmer to your body.
Layer on a fun piece of jewelry like bold earrings or a statement necklace. BaubleBar, and its Target brand, SugarFix, are always a great option.
Consider leaving the oversized tote at home, and go for a smaller purse, cross body or clutch.
PS: These wedges from Vionic in full disclosure were gifted to me but I’m about to buy a second pair. They are so incredibly comfortable, have arch support and a great footbed, and yet are still so cute to pair with shorts, dresses and jeans. I wore them all day (pre darn broken pinky toe, lol) and my feet weren’t aching at all. Highly recommend.
