Were sweatshirts always popular? I’d assume so because they’re so cozy but I love how in the past year there have been so many more cute, fun & comfy styles with ruffles, lace details & pretty colors compared to that standard grey I remember growing up with.
This new palm-lace sweatshirt from Lilly Pulitzer is my new everything. It’s a bit of a splurge if you think of it as “just a sweatshirt” however this lace sweatshirt is one of those pieces you can get an impressive amount of use from.
A few examples to wear your lace sweatshirt:
Wear it as I did hear with denim cut-offs
Layer it over your bathing suit as a cover up (I tried & it’s so cute!)
Pair with white denim and wedges for a night out
Put it over a romper for extra coverage (saw someone do this!)
See what I mean? It’s all about thinking how we can maximize the pieces we have in our closet or how to make quality pieces even more useful.
Jean shorts: this new pair from Treasure & Bond at Nordstrom is so good. I recently picked them up and am so happy… super cool distressing, not too short 4″ inseam, and check out the photo on the web site for a better view of the side/back; I love, love how the side has step hem so the shorts are a bit longer in the back.
By the way, how stinkin’ cute are these sneakers?? I’m so obsessed with the white sneaker and embroidered floral detail (would be super cute with a cotton dress, too). By the way, they have a super designer vibe— yet not $730 (what…?!) — and likely way more comfortable.

March 10, 2018 at 1:18 PMDefinitely try this pair — the 4 inch inseam is great and I love that they’re slightly longer in the back.
