Are you a plaid girl or more of a denim/solids girl? Each winter, the plaid comes out in full force. So many girls wear it so well, yet I swear to you I feel like I should go chop some wood! LOL, I don’t know if it’s the combination of the button downs with the flannel or what, but it rarely feels right on me. At the same time, I immediately need anything that comes in denim (evidenced by these espadrilles I just purchased — my feet are ready for spring!).
When the PR reps from Style & Co. — a brand exclusively sold at Macy’s — reached out with line sheets from its Spring collection, I was immediately drawn to the lace-up nature of this blouse… in both the plaid and the denim. The lace-up vibe gives both the plaid and the light-weight chambray a contemporary, versatile feel.
So, then I was curious: are you a plaid girl? Or are you more drawn to neutrals/denim/solids? I styled them exactly the same here, but the plaid would be super cute with blue distressed denim & brown boots, and I’m so ready to wear this denim pullover with printed shorts and flip flops, or white denim and espadrilles. Endless opportunities (and did I mention it’s on sale for under $25?!).

January 18, 2017 at 10:02 AMI’m not a huge fan of plaid but I like this one on you. I like both tops actually! I also don’t mind some plaid dresses, it just depends on the plaid but yours is soft and pretty!
