Why You Need a Backpack in 2017

Not to sound 90 but my shoulder is really hurting and I swear my right side is about a half inch lower than my left as a result of carrying my purse on this side for so many years.

The athleisure trend continues to expand in 2017, and ladies, it’s time to embrace. Lets get back on the backpack bandwagon. And, save our shoulders.

While I don’t want to like a 13-year-old with a mini backpack, a 19-year old college student or a 24-year-old hipster trying to look cool, the tote — albeit spacious! — has become a hassle and heave for travel and on the weekends. Plus, what husband wants to carry his woman’s bag? ZERO. If he says he does, he’s just hoping to woo you for sex. Seriously. He doesn’t want to carry your tote.

Even though we don’t have “babies” anymore, I’ve been hunting for a backpack the past few months that would work for both of us for upcoming family trips and weekends on-the-go. Backpacks also make awesome diaper bag options, too.

When it comes to a backpack, think about your needs and purchase accordingly. I LOVE a chic yet roomy leather backpack (I’ve adored this faux leather one for a while, and just found this one for $30) for ventures around town, and this roomier waterproof option is my top contender for fam stuff.

Consider a few things: openings, compartments (I love the idea of one with water bottle space), functionality vs. style, and really look closely at the size. After reading lots of reviews for this post, the top complaint is that the size was either much smaller or larger than they anticipated.
