I love the chic simplicity of white anything, particularly when it’s paired with denim. Each weekend, it’s guaranteed you’ll find me in some variation of this look because it can be tweaked so many ways based on where I’m headed and if I’m carrying two little ones in tow.
The toughest decision is the footwear. It needs to be functional — I mean bloggers who share similar looks with heels or mega wedges?! I just can’t — however I also want it to be cute and show my personality. I recently shared two ways to style a linen dress and today, check out one minor change — the footwear — for two casual looks when everything else stays the same.
I’ve been gravitating to these pineapple espadrilles by Soludos (love this brand), and in lieu of my flip flops I’ve been trying slides. I’m not apt to spend bigger bucks for a J. Crew version when this Target pair looks so good for under $10 and I even found a camel pair from Old Navy during a sale for about $12 (bam! They’re awesome). When it comes to inexpensive sandals (or anything for that matter), pay attention to the details: do the seams look straight? How is the quality of the faux leather? Avoid too many flashy details that can have wear issues.

May 6, 2016 at 1:50 PMHi TAGG – yoiu look adorable as usual! I’m heading to the aplm Beach area soon – and I was looking for the cute boutique store you spoke about maybe 6 months ago. What was the name of it? Is it worth a visit? Thanks! Rhonda

May 8, 2016 at 8:10 PMHI Rhonda… Marston? It’s in the Jupiter area just north of West Palm and Palm Beach Gardens. So cute, and there’s food trucks in that area the second friday of every month. In Palm Beach Gardens, at Downtown at the Gardens, I love Lola Chiq and Ceci (super affordable), and on Palm Beach, Rapunzels is really cute, as is the jewelry store Sequin. Do any of these sound like what I mentioned? 🙂 Hope so — have a great trip!

May 4, 2016 at 9:08 AMWe have a crazy busy weekend coming up this weekend, and I immediately thought of what I was going to wear that would keep me functioning and not looking like a crazy person. I’m totally copying this outfit on Saturday!
Also, do you like the Madewell tees? Has yours held up well? My mom and I both got long sleeve versions from there earlier this year and I’ve loved mine, but my mom’s got a hole in it the first time she washed it, so I’ve been a bit leery to try the short sleeved version. I’ve started wearing the Daily Tee’s from Athleta and I really like them, but wondered about this exact one you’re wearing.

May 4, 2016 at 3:17 PMHoles are the worst. I’ve had good luck with this one (and luckily it’s just under $20), I think because it’s not quite as thin as some of those J. Crew tissue weight versions. I’ll have to look into the Athleta one… they have a great brand, and really stand behind the product. (Order from Nordstrom by the way if you try; this way if there’s a hole they’ll replace it even if months later).
