With the temperatures quickly heating up in Florida, I’ve been tempted more than ever to toss on an easy dress and call it a day. While I’m typically a pants girl during the work week, there’s something pretty awesome about a versatile dress that can go from work to weekend, day to night. I unexpectedly saw this linen swing dress (for $14.90) at Forever 21 during my visit to find lycra and brights for an 80s party. As I mentioned here, I’ve been so pleasantly surprised by my F21 finds.
Whether it’s from Forever 21 or you elsewhere, a breezy dress like this will easily become a wardrobe staple. For fun, sharing two ways to wear this linen swing dress… standing oh-so naturally in a tree (we couldn’t resist the fun environment!).
For a more casual afternoon, pair your linen swing dress with favorite flats or sandals, and layer on a denim jacket for a chillier environment. I’m borrowing my photog, Alissa’s, backpack… while I haven’t been sure about the “trend,” I must confess that with kids, I love how convenient it was to carry and pretty awesome that I’d could pass something like this to my guy. Plus, this one is super cool. #temptation.
SUPER CUTE LINEN SWING DRESS STYLED 2 WAYS:
LINEN SWING DRESS OUTFIT DETAILS:
Dress: Forever 21 // Tassel Necklace: Alexandra Gioia // smaller necklace: BaubleBar /// Flats: Rebecca Minkoff // Backpack: Madewell, borrowed from my photog, Alissa (or, look for less) // Earrings: Shashi
To dress up the look, add a crisp white blazer and your favorite espadrilles or heels. I opted for a simple gold necklace and grabbed my reversible tote. Wouldn’t it also be fun with a floral blazer? Or dress it up with a black blazer and skinny heels for a chic date night look.
LINEN SWING DRESS OUTFIT DETAILS:

April 21, 2016 at 7:24 AMI love that dress, and the ways you’ve styled it. One thing I find with F21 dresses/skirts is they are so short. I’m almost 5’8″ and that dress would be indecent at work 🙁 Do you have recommendations for a similar, but longer, dress? Because I would love to wear that first outfit all summer long! (And the second for casual!)

May 2, 2016 at 9:25 AMHey Liz, that’s sadly so true with F21. 🙁 A bit more expensive however I love, love this option: http://bit.ly/1X4qIWe. This is also a great, more casual striped option: http://bit.ly/1TFGNyJ, and I also adore this chambray version which can easily be dressed up or down: http://bit.ly/1Y2VQUo.
