Closet Staple: The Espadrille Wedge

Marc Fisher Adalyn wedges, plus the best budget buys - The Espadrille Wedge featured by popular Florida fashion blogger, The Modern Savvy

This week ushers in March (hello there!) and with it, so much fun spring style. Last year the Marc Fisher “Adalyn” espadrille wedge was a monster huge hit — a look-for-less (though not inexpensive) compared to its original Chloe “Lauren” version. Now this modern savvy footwear is becoming even more popular as we head into 2017 (evidence: Nordstrom is currently sold out of the camel color). Whether you’re looking for the original, the Adalyn espadrille wedge or want to get your hands on a look-for-less, check out this MEGA inspiration, and then shop the look below at all the price points.

STYLING THE ESPADRILLE WEDGE FOR THE SUMMER

As a heads up, I know they’re a sizable wedge however I’ve heard from a number of blogger friends that the more platform style makes them extremely comfortable. Plus, the Steve Madden and Gap pairs have a lower wedge if you’re looking for the style without the height. Have to be candid, ladies… I was smitten over these cuties before “researching” this post and I’m downright obsessing now. I love how they look cute with everything from denim to dresses, rompers, and more. I can totally see myself wearing them with white denim, an off-the-shoulder blouse, statement earrings, and a tasseled clutch.

I have a lot of nude shoes so I got the blue Chloe espadrille. Do you think they are as versatile??

YES! Love the idea of a blue Chloe espadrilles (drool). I find a good pop of color is more versatile than you ever realize. You’ll get a ton of use out of them. Enjoy!

I appreciate you spending some time and effort to put this

But so what, it was still worthwhile!

Just bought (invested in!) the pricey ones from Nordstrom. I imagine the CPW is actually very low, since I will wear them year round in SoFLa.

They’re such a classic! For some reason I was never quite as obsessed as everyone else seems to be but they’re definitely very versatile!

I ordered both the pair from the Gap and the Steve Madden pair from DSW. I got the ones from Gap and really like them but I’m waiting to compare them with the pair from DSW. They are so cute, it’s gonna be hard to decide!
