The Cold Shoulder

My work attire has become increasingly casual since starting to work from home again this fall. However with a lot of meetings this past month, I realized much of my more professional attire seems dated and ill fitting. I’ve been buying some new clothes but this season but seriously… someone please stop me from buying another casual tee or striped shirt. 😉

During a recent sale at Ann Taylor, I was immediately enamored by this fitted cold-shoulder sweater, which I envisioned wearing with jeans for a night out. But, while in the fitting room, I tested out these camel pants since I have nothing like them in both color and pant style, and coincidentally loved this combo together! Don’t you love a fitting room moment like that? A sweater like this is a great way to combine personality with professionalism.

I brought a scarf with me in the hopes of cooler temps, but to no avail… it’s been unseasonably warm here. For those in chillier spots, top this look with a jacket in pretty much any hue or style (I’d love a pale pink!), or one of these parkas.

I’m so in love with this outfit; the shoes are an especially nice touch.

Those camel pants were a great find! Love the pop of burgundy shoes too.
