I love that florals are so on-trend for fall, so while you might leave the lighter hued, pastel ones in the closet for now, those with rich fall tones are a gorgeous way to transition into the season. I picked this dress up during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale — one of those things that you randomly grab on your way to the fitting room, because why not, it’s just the fitting room? But then, you love it. Ugh, I wasn’t expecting to love it but it just has that flowy Free People look where I imagine girls wearing it would be all chill and carefree (which I totally am not!)… and then I couldn’t resist the under $100 price. Plus, I own nothing like it. This casual boho vibe is fun with booties (either cut-out or regular), and equally cute as it gets colder paired with riding boots, tights and an oversized cozy sweater cardigan.
There are so many good floral options out there right now. For the budget conscious (hey, who’s not?!), I’m loving pretty much every floral in Old Navy’s new arrivals (this dress is just like my Hinge version in a darker floral; imagine in December with black opaque tights).
Dress: Hinge // Booties: Vince Camuto (currently sold out; love these or these, for less) // Shorter necklace: BaubleBar // Longer Necklace: Alexandra Gioia // Ring: BaubleBar // Watch: Shinola // Bracelet: David Yurman
So jewelry… these days it’s all about a few layered barely there dainty pieces or my bold options. A few of you have asked about my smaller BaubleBar necklace… it’s one of my favorite costume jewelry pieces and one that I candidly graviate toward nearly every day and get tons of compliments wearing (people always think it costs more than it does). The mother-of-pearl and gold combo is beautiful, and is extremely versatile. Candidly, I actually forgot I was wearing it until I saw these photos… luckily, I love how it looks layered with my horned Alexandra Gioia statement piece!
Blogger fail: you take a photo of the pretty mesh detailing and totally don’t realize you’re wearing a strappy bra. I tried moving it but then it got all tangled, I started sweating, and well, you know. This is the outcome.
