I saw this hack while mindlessly in the Facebook time suck vortex and thought this was genius, and nearly too good to be true, until another friend followed up to say it totally worked.
Cleaning pots and pans is half my “eh” with cooking; where’s Mary Poppins to swoop in to clean it all when you need her? š I’ve been using my oven (often lined with tin foil, TBH) and slow cooker Ā but there are times when your pots and pans needs some major TLC. Well, would you ever have thought a dryer sheet would come to your rescue? The innocent little sheet is the simple solution to never scrubbing your pots and pans again.
There’s a bunch of videos out there on it but loved this real gal Jill Urban of Little Things giving us the scoop. Basically, putĀ your dirty pot or pan in the sink, layer on a dryer sheet (or a few, depending on the size of your pot or pan) and fill with warm water. Wait an hour or two and you’re done. Just let it soak a bit longer for extra baked-on grime. andĀ you’reĀ done.
Psst: want another handy idea for dryer sheets? Take that one that already went in a dryer cycle to wipe away any deodorant spots from clothing. Ā I also found this article for 45 (woah!) more surprising uses for dryer sheets.
