I know the holiday party season might be behind us but I can’t handle the idea that we’re supposed to hang up our sequins and put away our party shoes until next year. So often, and I’m guilty of this as well… I classify clothes as work or casual or party or whatnot, when really, most pieces you love can be worn across any of these. Yes, certainly ripped boyfriend jeans are not corporate work appropriate, nor are sequins during afternoon yoga (though I suppose, who am I to judge!). My traditional party shoes are the perfect example of you don’t need to be wearing a glam dress to make them work.
How fab are these Kate Spade heels? My old self would typically reserve these gorgeous satin and bow heels for an ultra special occasion, not just a night out. But, newer me is ready to rock anytime. I’s fun to see how my closet can feel infinitely larger with a few changes to my perspective.
PS: these heels are from 6pm.com, my go-to for years to score a discount on brands for myself and my family. They generously sent me these around the holidays but I never had the chance to show them off so I couldn’t resist this opportunity. I noticed they have Splendid, Amanda Uprichard and Ivanka Trump, and I religiously check the site before ordering Sketchers, Steve Madden, MIA and other brands for myself and kids. I often find the same style and prints here for less, and it seems each day different brands are marked down so it pays to visit back. Top: Ann Taylor (wearing small) // Denim: J. Brand (old, I cut the hems off; try it on these or these) // Heels: Kate Spade ℅ 6pm.com (more Kate Spade on sale here) // Necklace: Bliss Collar for the BaubleBar x Gal Meets Glam collection // Purse: Aldo ℅ 6pm.com // Ring: BaubleBar // Hair: I use this Style Winder (so easy!)

January 13, 2016 at 8:25 AMGreat idea. I tend to save these sort of shoes for “special” occasions, too. I definitely need to step out of that box I put myself, and my shoes, in! Cute pictures! ~Janis Lyn Johnson from http://jljbacktoclassic.com
