Summer Style: Scalloped

There are a handful of things that scream summer style: off-the-shoulder, bright pink and turquoise anything, sandals, sunnies and of course, scallops. I swear they make every article of clothing cuter, and anyone else notice that if you’re wearing scallops you are guaranteed compliments? There’s no rhyme or reason except they’re just pretty gosh darn cute.

Your wardrobe begging for scallops? Whose isn’t. Find scallop details on a basic tee or a lacy blouse that can go from work to weekend. Plus in cooler months you can layer it under a sweater for a cool hem detail effect. Shorts and skirts with lace dress up any look (I have a pair from Lilly Putlizer I wear with flip flops or dress up with wedges and gold jewelry for a baby shower!). Plus, I’m adoring all the scalloped-trimmed footwear prevalent everywhere this season.

I’m loving so many of these… do you also sometimes put items in your cart waiting for a store sale? (I’m not the only one, right?). While some like Nordstrom, Lilly Pulitzer and ASOS, for example, don’t happen so often, I can usually wait it out with LOFT, Ann Taylor, Gap, Old Navy and the key others. First world problems, I know.
