Receiving holiday cards are one of my favorite moments of the holiday season. Every year, I love seeing the cards people select, the sweet photos of their families and how they’re growing, and heck, just getting a piece of real snail mail. There’s something just so special. I still need to design ours (this procrastinator is all about the New Year’s messaging) however in my quest to find a better way to display the ones arriving in our mailbox, I’m sharing my favorites. How pretty and sentimental feeling are these creative ideas?
Go around the perimeter of a doorway.
Display them on shutters (you can DIY them!).
Tie with garland around your staircase.
Make a bulletin board display.
Hang them from ribbon on a door.
Add twigs to a pitcher or jar; punch a hole in the cards and string ribbon through to hang.
Hang on a string of lights.
Create a tree out using washi tape and garland on a wall.
Deck out a chalkboard wall with wire (it’s from IKEA; we use it to display art in our playroom).
And, though not yet quite holiday cards but our photo Menorah, if you celebrate Hanukkah, could be a fun way to create a mash up of your family and your holiday cards all in one.
