Outfit: Valentine’s Style

Continuing the Valentine’s Day trend this week here on TAGG, check out this total budget buy of a top (that’s also available in navy) from the online shop, Unhinged Boutique. I own about one red blouse (err, this one), purchasing it around the holidays in my attempt to inject a bold color in my wardrobe and because I couldn’t resist the off-the-shoulder style. I have worn it once before with distressed denim and also like how it works paired with black pants & strappy sandals.

Chuckling a little as I write that this is a Valentine’s Day look because it’s unlikely we’ll go out for Valentine’s, and that I’d wear red, but I do love the idea of going bold this year and maybe that’s what  the day can be about. Whether it’s boldly professing your love to someone (hey, go give your mom a call — that counts!) or wearing something out of your comfort zone to show a bold side of yourself, live boldly. I always say outfits are only one day so try something new and you could love the result. Heck, this redhead who never wore pink, orange, red, green or yellow until she was about 28, could wind up with a second red shirt this year. I’m going bold, friends. Don’t try to stop me.

Blouse: Unhinged Boutique // Faux Fur Vest: American Eagle (old; similar) // Leggings: Rag & Bone // Heels: Ann Taylor (no longer available; similar or here) // Crossbody/Clutch: Rebecca Minkoff (note the black hardware: it goes with everything) // Earrings: Kendra Scott (in slate) // Necklace: Marny & Co via Marston Boutique in Abacoa (Jupiter, Fla.) // Hair: I use this Style Winder

PS… in my area, if it happens to be a chilly night, I love the idea of adding this faux fur vest. A black blazer or denim jacket also works but let’s be honest; I got this about five years ago and you can only really wear it one to two days in Florida. Have to work it when you can!

Such a fan of delicate jewels these days; I’ve been stacking this horseshoe necklace with two others, like this.
