MY CURRENT FAVORITES

TRADER JOE’S CHURRO BITES

Holy cow crispy puffs of sweet cinnamon yumminess. If you follow me on Instagram or watch my Instagram stories, you know my cup runneth over for Trader Joe’s. I obviously had to run there last week after Trader Joe’s shared this new baked snack that basically sounds like my dream in a bag. Ha, not joking though. Sorry not sorry, these are so freaking good I am not sure I can keep buying them. If you like a good crunchy snack, these are fantastic. I can also see them being delicious crushing them up a bit on top of ice cream, yogurt, anything really. Details here on Trader Joe’s site.

 

DON’T TOUCH MY BABY (get it here)

How amazing is this book and illustrations? The fun and slightly snarky book is authored by one of my good friends, Glenn Glazer, who’s also a local meteorologist and clearly germ conscious dad, and is illustrated by one of his fabulous and talented colleagues, Ashleigh Walters. This book seems like a must -get baby shower/new baby gift for any of those germo-phob friends and family in your life.

TONE IT UP SLIDE AND SCULPT DISCS (Get them here)

With more than a million Instagram followers, trainers Karena and Katrina have been an incredible fitness community and web destination for all things health, wellness and fitness. I’ve used similar discs with my trainer — and had failed previous attempts to google search “round circle things you glide with” lol — so needless to say I impulse purchased these from Tone It Up’s new line at Target… which by the way is SO cute. Evidence here! Check out the graphic below for some examples of how to use them. One of my favorite moves is to put them on the balls of your feet, legs together and body leaning forward on a support/chair/bar…. similar to the slider plank below, but more upright. Glide your feet in and out focusing on using those inner thighs. YUP, you’ll feel it fast. Image below via Tone it Up.

Pretty excited about this one — The Modern Savvy now has a dedicated landing page on Amazon. It’s basically a one-stop-shop for everything I personally purchase… everything from books to things for the kiddos, beauty supplies, cleaning stuff and you know… anything you can find on Amazon. 😉

 

“A NEW DAY” MULES (find them here; also in blush!)

My friend Shira and I saw these in Target last week and immediately grabbed them. They’re so good, look and feel like way more than $22.99 (we both agreed they look like Shutz or Joie for $160+), are comfy, and are just a super chic pair of slides. I already have the blush pink pair in my cart because for this price, I know I’ll absolutely get my cost per wear as we head into the spring. I love, love the idea of wearing blush with my navy pants for work, and denim on the weekends. Dress them up or down; they’re such a chic, easy to slide-on-and-go flat.  For size reference, I’m between an 8.5-9 and got the 8.5.

KID’S BINOCULARS (get them here)

Proud mama moment: I got these on a whim for Evan for Hanukkah at our favorite local toy store, Learning Express. Obsession is not even doing his level of love for these. He will wear them around the house, look out the window for birds, use them in the car, use them in our backyard… and all this educational entertainment for $12! I love how durable and foolproof they are… there’s no lenses so your little one won’t get frustrated that’s something out of focus. Seriously, an awesome splurge buy or next gift idea for your kid or birthday party.
