What to Wear in the Fall… When It’s Still Warm Out

Perhaps this blog title feels a little funny… I mean, isn’t everything I share here outfits for when it’s warm out? 😉 It’s thankfully cooling off here in the Sunshine State but there’s definitely still major warm — i.e. in the high 70s most day.

Anyone else in a warmer climate having major jealousy over cute boots and chunky sweaters? Well, this and the stunning fall foliage. When it comes to fall style in warmer climates, the key is lightweight pieces. Faux leather leggings instead of heavier faux leather pants or fleece-lined leggings are a great way to get a fall look without the bulk or heat. Black high tops or booties are another fun option, as is layering on a loose-fitting long-sleeve top.

In this case, I purchased this Gap top in a medium to give it that off-the-shoulder look like you’d see on some cool girl. Bonus points that it helps cover your bum in leggings and I give it that front tuck with my denim.  Instead of a tank, I just layer it over my favorite camisole bra (I live for these Coobie lace-back bras).

Can you guys see the “pop socket“ on my phone? I now have the iPhone 8+ and I literally talk about this little guy like I’m an ambassador. Legit saves your pinkies from holding up your phone… and also serves as a stand! Basically, the best $9 I’ve spent in a while. Comes in tons of colors/prints/images.
