Embracing New Styles (like Embroidered Denim)

Each day, we have a powerful opportunity to put forth any version of ourselves. Yes, it’s absolutely through our personality and our actions… but also our clothes. What we wear each day gives off your vibe, shares something about you to new people, and also tends to change our personality, even a little bit. Think about it; a killer pair of slacks or pencil skirt with a fierce blouse can make you feel powerful walking into a meeting, while a smokin’ dress can give you the confidence to show off that sultry side.

That said, each day is an opportunity to try a new style and put forth that part of your personality. Plus, I love that with clothing, tomorrow is an entirely new day. Try something new, have fun with it… it’s just an outfit.

For me, these embroidered denim initially could feel a little youthful but heck; I LOVE them so much (and hey, nothing wrong with anyone thinking I’m 26!). To keep the age thing in check though, I held out until I found this pair with limited distressing and an overall slimmer silhouette. I’ve worn them more casually with a tee and espadrilles, and equally love them a little dressed up like this for a casual Friday lunch date.

The point of my rambling (promise I have one!)… is, don’t be afraid of having fun with your clothes. That is all. Have a great rest of your week!
