One of the misconceptions of bloggers is that they’re constantly buying. Honestly, I think some definitely are (and candidly, some do so with excess that grosses me out). I’m sure I shop more than if I wasn’t blogging (the struggle of always seeing sales!), but I’m certainly not doing so constantly or perhaps as much as it seems. In fact, I feel like I’ve done a bit of a disservice here because I always feel compelled to share with you new styles and wearable trends, when in reality it likely would be equally if not more helpful to highlight some fresh ways to wear some “blasts from the past” that I’m still frequently wearing.
For example, I got this scalloped dress at least two summers ago and constantly, constantly wear it especially as spring hits. I just saw another girl wearing this dress with a long tassel necklace the other day… so cute. You can also top it with a blazer or denim jacket for a little extra warmth.
If you have this or a similar dress consider adding an embellished clutch — so popular right now! — or a pop of color in your heels to give it a fresh look. The same goes for even a classic shift dress. Add statement earrings like these or these, or a delicate gold pair.

March 15, 2017 at 9:58 PMI love your thoughts on shopping. The struggle is real, but I’m a firm believer that the reader appreciates the inspiration and ideas on how to shop their own closet, just as much as seeing what’s new!

March 15, 2017 at 10:45 AMI would loveeee to wear my clothes from 2 years ago but unfortunately my size changes so frequently so I can’t. I’m working on keeping things more stable because I would be rewearing my stuff a lot more, and I used to do it back when I could. But I totally agree with you and omg those scallops and clutch…perfection!
