I love that you guys love this post as much as I love writing it. Each of us encounter so much randomness throughout the month and it’s fun to share it one centralized place. Right now I’m having an infactuation with all things spring and summer (who isn’t?), particularly because this time of the year is the best in Florida before it gets too humid and hot. Apparently I’m also having a thing for all things pink — noted after I put this together. So let’s get to it, here’s what I’m totally loving this month.
Donut pool toy: hello there, summer. We purchased this pool toy the end of last summer. See we have a pool in our neighborhood but not at our house so I kept thinking it wasn’t needed and who wants to schlep a donut to the pool? Umm, this mama who wants her kids to have hours of endless entertainment on a $20 (cute!) pool toy. It’s been such a crazy win, and now that we’re currently building a pool (yipeeeee!!!) to be ready in a few weeks I’m even more smitten about the idea of having a donut, and maybe a flamingo, hanging in our backyard. The only problem, and you’ve now been warned, it makes you think about donuts. all. the. time.
iPhone glittery case: this phone case is all kinds of awesome. I bought it last month and tried explaining it in this post but you just have to trust me here. I’ll try to snap it (alyson.seligman) however it’s awesome as the glitter moves around inside your case. And, at under $30, it’s a total spring splurge win. So many people ask me about it all the time! (shout out to my friends Heather and Adele who first got me hooked with similar versions!). I see now similar versions start as low as $4 on Amazon.
Family: ok, kind of a duh, I know — family should always be a top obsession, yet this month more than every I’m reminded by how much I miss and love my dad who passed away in December and how much I love, love the family that’s with me each day. I’ve been cleaning out his place this weekend in prep for finalizing the sale this week so I’ve spent considerable time going through everything, including so many photos learning more about him and reminiscing about my childhood. It’s been incredibly awesome. The only thing I can suggest is to ask to do this with your family if you have them here. We can all go on about our days and it’s easy to know the bigger stuff and ironic how it feels like I can hear the same family stories over and over, yet my dad clearly had so many memories and stories that we’ll never know.
Rosie Pope baby bodysuits: when I went to Allie’s baby registry, I was immediately smitten by these body suits; how cute are these prints?! Perfect $20 price point for a sweet gift, or add a set of matching pants (I fully want these for me, lol, no shame), and use Amazon Prime to ship it free. Always love a good baby gift – and cute clothes are always a win.
Kale, Avocado and Apple Salad: this salad by Well & Good looks so delicious and satisfying. Do you guys have any great, easy summer recipe ideas? I’m so tired when I get home some days that I find it easiest to toss together a salad, oftentimes including avocado, hard boiled eggs, kale or broccoli slaw, chick peas, other veggies, a few almonds and sometimes dried cranberries. It’s delicious, filing, and all good, fresh foods. This salad is totally in the same style, and I love the idea of adding apple for that sweetness instead of the dried cranberries.
Essie nail color in Fiji: summer hues are back, and I’m totally in love with this creamy pale pink. It’s a departure from my go-to opaque white, with that hint of girly with a bold feel. The lighter color means you can’t see every detail and it looks gorgeous universally on lighter and darker skin tones. Find it here and here.

May 19, 2016 at 8:37 AMI am OBSESSED with the phone cases that have glittery floaties in them, but I just cannot get rid of my Lifeproof case. I am the clumsiest person ever and my phone regularly ends up falling on pavement.
