Lucky for me, most of my work days are pretty casual. I rarely wear jeans (my favorite items on the planet) however I like that our office has a generally ‘casual professional’ vibe (if that’s a thing!). On a recent winter day, I wore this easy outfit, and then transitioned at night, pairing the camel cashmere (which comes in nearly a dozen colors and is now 40% off) with denim and booties. I’m investing in more pieces like this, which have become more versatile and transitional. I’m finding myself less and less frustrated on most days…. I used to hate that feeling, despite a closet full of clothes, I had nothing to wear.
I meant to show you this look also styled with my favorite new plaid scarf but seeing as it was in the mid 70s I totally spaced until we were done, and my photog pal was long gone. Nonetheless, it would be a fun way to inject a print, and add a little warmth, to this look.
Cashmere Sweater: Halogen (now 40% off… under $50! Comes in a dozen colors) // Pants: J. Crew Factory “Frankie” Chino (wearing size 2) // Heels: Ann Taylor (old; similar or this) // Optional Scarf (it it was cooler out!): J. Crew Factory // Ring: BaubleBar // Necklace: BaubleBar // Bracelet: BaubleBar (more tortoise shell options)
PS… just realized all my jewelry in today’s post is from BaubleBar. Want to be transparent that none of it was gifted to me; these are all pieces I’ve purchased over the past year, love, and coincidentally wore in the same post. While the bracelet turns out is a little large for my small wrist (sad, because it’s beautiful!), the ring and necklace are personal favorites, look way nicer in person than their respective price points, and get tons of compliments.
