When it comes to closet staples, every woman should own a pair of leopard shoes; make it heels, flats, booties, sandals, it doesn’t matter — the printed neutral is universally awesome. Promise. Would I steer you wrong? Years ago I’d never agree with this statement but this older, kind of wiser version figured out how to wear leopard shoes and I’m sharing with you along with loads of inspiration from gorgeous women doing it right, plus keep reading for my favorite picks as well.
This post is part of TAGG’s “closet staples” series, helping take you into Fall with a few key pieces. Last month, we showcased army green pants, now leopard shoes and next week we’ll wrap with the ultra versatile denim shirt. In fact, pair all three together for the cutest fall look.
Wondering how to wear leopard? Consider it a neutral; if you’re just getting started stick to other solids like black, white, rusty orange, pink, plum, red and blue, for example. Go with leopard heels to add personality to a LBD, or pair flats to add flair to your weekend denim and sweater, or to a work look with black slacks, and blouse. I personally like a pair of suede (or high quality faux); I find the satiny ones, even at $150+ can look cheap. Have other questions? Leave them in the comments or email anytime!
