Outfit: In the Army Now

Olive or army green is having a moment. Again. Each fall it comes back in the form of pants (as seen in this post), toppers like the one in today’s post, and accents (I just purchased these flats). This beautiful rich hue is universally flattering — promise! — and it’s a smart way to inject a fall vibe whether it’s 68 or 86 degrees where you are.

I’ve debated a jacket like this for years. I finally pulled the trigger and despite the warm weather I’ve already worn it so much…. to the movies for a casual date night (Straight Outta Compton is awesome by the way!), to the mall and just to run errands. Whether you want a lighter weight one like mine, a slightly more structured version or one with more substance like this with faux fur, it’s a color that will complement everything in your closet.

In other news, the accessories in today’s outfit make me so happy. Per my usual, I’m wearing a white tee and skinny denim, the perfect canvas to customize your look based on mood.  I splurged on these J. Crew flats that are so comfy and chic, and this winter-ized tassel tassel necklace from Alexandra Gioia is so good.

You know why I consider myself a “lifestyle blogger” and not a style or fashion blogger? Ok, a lot of reasons but the main one: my cheesy smile! I just can’t control myself. 🙂 It really is the best accessory.
