I think Netflix and binge TV watching is basically becoming synonymous with quarantine life, am I right? I must confess that between bingo games, and bike rides and endless laundry and what feels like 17 daily meals, I’ve been watching a lot more television. Between catching up on some shows I’ve been wanting to get to, and discovering some new ones, I’ve watched some great TV / Netflix shows recently. So I though it would be fun to share with you what’s on my ‘Netflix Recently Watched‘ list!

What’s on my Netflix Recently Watched List
UNORTHODOX
This four-episode Netflix series chronicles the inside world of the Hasidic Jewish community and what happens when one young girl tries to break free and escape to Germany. Based on the best-selling memoir by Deborah Feldman, the series was so incredibly well done, really powerful, captivating, interesting and I learned so much. And when I mentioned it on Instagram Stories, so many of you felt the same. Highly suggest.
TOO HOT TO HANDLE
I’m not one to watch a ton of reality TV — I mostly begins at ends at the Housewives and HGTV — but after admittedly getting sucked into Love is Blind a couple of months ago I thought I’d give more of this fun TV trash with the Netflix-hyped Too Hot Too Handle. The whole concept is that they bring a bunch of sexy singles together… who can’t have sex if they want to win the $100,000 prize. I just started but it’s exactly as much of a hot mess and fun distraction as you’d think it would be.
YOU
So I totally missed the crazy of this not-so-average Joe the last year or two and since it’s only two seasons, I decided to go for it. Wow. Definitely makes all the stalker memes I saw about it last year make more sense! Joe’s a guy who “loves love” and yet… tries a little too hard to protect the ones he loves.
SCHITT’S CREEK – SEASON 5
I must confess that I definitely cried watching the final season of one of my favorite shows. I’ve been a fan for a while but whether you’ve never seen it or looking for a series to binge, this is a good one. The Rose family is displaced to the town of Schitt’s Creek, moving into a motel, after losing everything. The show — created by Dan and Eugene Levy (above, who play father son) — is so incredibly well-written, smart, snarky, inclusive and just so ridiculously good. Trust.
ALL AMERICAN
A friend just had to say Taye Diggs and I was all in! She show premise is that Spencer James is a rising football star in South Crenshaw when the Beverly Hills coach (Diggs) recruits him to play for their team. It’s inspired by the real life story of Spencer Paysinger, and the show is filled with drama, suspense and lots of good looking people. The show moves quickly and is a juicy alternative to some of the comedy I’ve been watching.
TIGER KING
Everyone’s watched this, right? I think you have to, even just to understand the memes and the country’s unified hatred of Carole Baskin! I for sure watched because of FOMO (fear of missing out) and have to confess, the whole thing, and this whole world is so crazy. Just when you think it can’t get crazier, they drop another nugget of information that you’re basically like WT-actualF. (No joke).
