I’m not exactly sure how I would only wear blue and stripes in college and most of my 20s and now I’m regularly wearing camo, pink and leopard! My 20-something self would NEVER believe it.
When it comes to leopard, I think many of us have tested it with footwear — leopard heels and flats are such a fun way to inject a little personality and style into any outfit. When I passed this leopard print skirt at Bloomingdale’s in December I thought, what the heck… let me try it on! I love how flirty and fun it is, without being super short, or having some crazy slit. Plus, the under $60 price point is such a winner! I’ve already worn this leopard print skirt a few times, once for a dressier night out with this off-the-shoulder top and strappy heels, and then again for a more casual and cooler evening, styled like you see below.
My biggest style challenge: booties or over the knee boots! I thought both looked good so wanted to show you how a skirt like this (solid, printed, anything) works with two shoes — in addition to a classic pump of course! My gut says booties but I see so many stylish bloggers (who are also 30-something moms) style similar skirts with OTK boots. It’s fun, right?! It’s fun to play with fashion…. it’s only one outfit and one day.

By the way, these super soft, light-weight ribbed tees are a new favorite. They’re $25 at Nordstrom and come in a handful of colors and stripes. I sized up to a medium and have it in two colors; the small fit as well, I just preferred a slightly looser fit.
By the way, these boots by Blondo are now three years old, are currently on sale, are waterproof and have great reviews! If you’re looking for an OTK boot that’s not over-the-top (I’m sure you’ve seen what I mean), these are great… the flat option makes them super versatile. By the way, they usually don’t bunch toward my ankle, but blog fail: I forgot to bring socks when I photographed these so there was nothing to hold ’em up, so to speak. They’re super comfortable… I wore them walking around NYC for nearly an entire weekend!
Tee: BP (love! $25, and I have in two colors)
Skirt: Aqua (under $60)
Boots: Blondo (on sale)
Purse: Gucci (really cute option for less)
Earrings: Something Navy x Nordstrom (sold out; love these hoops, and this under $30 drop pearl earring)
