5 In My Outfits/ STYLE

The Statement-Making Color, Print Combo You Should Try Now

pink blazer styled for fall for an everyday casual chic look

It’s time to pair your pinks with leopard. If you’re not on the “leopard is a neutral” bandwagon, I promise you this is one instance where it’s worth following the crowd. While it can feel tough to wear a leopard print dress, skirt, blouse, whatever, if you’re not into a print, it’s so good when styled as an accessory. These new flats from J. Crew Factory — which replaced a similar pair I had from years ago — are chic, comfortable and instantly add interesting depth to an outfit. Pair them with all-black (a sheath for work, or black denim and slinky black tank for a night out).

Leopard goes with anything — seriously — however it’s so good when paired with any shade of pink, from this bright hued to a more muted blush pink. Another way to work the print/color mix? A clutch. This designer clutch completes any look (seriously, it’s a cult blogger favorite), and here’s a similar option for under $40.

ABOUT THE JEANS

Also, let me tell you real quick about these jeans. They’re the “rocket scuplt” by Citizens of Humanity, referred to me by Jill over at Good Life … she was SO right. They’re so comfortable, insanely flattering, stretch but don’t stretch out, and the higher waist means no crack when I’m sitting (laughing, but truth!). For a more budget friendly pair of denim, Levi’s are back in a BIG way. They don’t have stretch yet hold in a good way. I added a pair of Levi’s 721s to my wardrobe in the lighter color with knee holes… the darker pair is awesome for fall, too.

The Pink Blazer you Need in your life

LET’S TALK HOT PINK BLAZER

This beautiful blazer was designed in honor of Talbots’ 70th anniversary, and is a modern classic take on 80s style. The striped detail on the lining adds such a fun element! You guys have likely seen me wearing more Talbots around here and I’m loving working with the brand. Maybe it’s that I’m getting older, or they’re adding some more youthful looks, but there’s absolute gems and the quality is excellent. I noticed they’re opening at my local mall (The Gardens Mall) and I’m super pumped!pink blazer styled for fall
