Whether you call them mules or slides, introducing this season’s fresh take on the classic flat that will instantly update your fall style. I candidly wasn’t sure about the trend at first but it’s completely grown on me. What started with Gucci’s $650ish Princenton slides (seen in the collage below) –– I do love that floral applique! –– has blossomed into a very mainstream style you and I can totally pull off. There are plenty of cool and very wearable mules in embellished, printed and classic solids.
Best of all, they’re polished enough for work, and easy to slip on. Remember last season’s lace-up trend? Super cute and it’s still around, but ugh, those laces drive me nuts. I’m all about looking pulled together… fast. I just ordered two mules from Target (this and this) but am already totally coveting this velvet pair. Beyond.
By the way, a few of my favorite places to look online for shoes are Shopbop (mules here), Amazon, Nordstrom, Target and Zappos & then individual brands based on the style. I find that Banana Republic and Ann Taylor have great quality, particularly when you can take advantage of a promotion.

August 28, 2017 at 7:21 PMI actually tried on a pair of the embroidered ones at Target. They are so cute! But when I had them on, I felt like they looked like slippers??!!!

September 3, 2017 at 8:03 AMLOL, laughed a bit at this comment because… same! Well when I tried on a pink pair. I felt a little silly but the black pair looked awesome. Maybe try another style? I’m such a fan of the gucci knock-offs from Target (and the silver pair is super cool, too).
