Welcome back, and happy short holiday week! I’m sure it’s getting a little crazy wherever you are (or actually hopefully it’s slowing down!). This is my hectic work time of year, and it’s also been a little insane on the home front. I co-hosted a baby shower in my home last weekend, went to DC the next day, just hosted a joint birthday for my kiddies (they turned 3 and 7 this month!), and now, Thanksgiving in our house. Wheh. We’ve also had some illnesses here but when you take a step back and really reflect, wow so much to be grateful for. A new baby, our little babies celebrating birthdays with so many friends and family who love them, and now, Thanksgiving…. all the side dishes, please! LOL.
Hope you are having a great month, and enjoy your Thanksgiving!
Topshop cold shoulder tee: I purchased this tee on a whim and I LOVE it. The cold shoulder is super cute, but without a hefty price tag. I shared this photo yesterday on Instagram and can’t wait to keep wearing this in other ways. It also comes in black, and is great now for day or date night, and can see it being so perfect come spring, too. Topshop at Nordstrom always has so many gems. Some is a little too young for me, but others, like this, are perfection. For size reference, I’m wearing a UK8/US4. Other details: necklace, ring ($18), phone case.
Bullet Journal: have you guys heard of this? My friend Adele was sharing it with me and I’m obsessed — yup, literally obsessed — with this concept. It actually seems like something I already sort of do but not in an organized way. It’s apparently HUGE and endorsed by big names like Oprah and other important people and I can see why. Get the stuff out of your head, sticky notes and random pieces of paper, and just like how your brain organizes it, get it on paper. Read this no brainer article my friend shared:
Founding Farmers: if you’re local to D.C. I’m sure you know this joint already as it’s one of the most popular. If you have a trip planned, get this on your list. It’s SO good. We went there for dinner, though I hear brunch is where it’s at. Basically, if dinner isn’t even its specialty, wow. Make sure you get the bacon wrapped dates, seen here.
Pogo jumper: another kid favorite around our house (hey, I’m all for things that tire them out!). The kids LOVE this mini pogo jumper that we’ve actually kept in the house for now. At about $15, it’s a bit of a no brainer — perfect holiday and birthday gifts! — and keeps them entertained for an impressive amount of time. It’s also great for coordination…. trust me, I’ve tested. 😉
Tassel keychain/ charm: ah, another Target impulse purchase! I know pom poms are a fun purse accessory but I tried it and felt like I was 12 years old. These tassels totally called at me and while I intended to use them as an actual keychain, they are the perfect fall/winter accent to my purse. They come in four color palettes, you can see here, and it’s under $8 total. Love this for a co-worker, bff or stocking stuffer, too!
Over-the-knee boots: I’ve debated for ages getting a pair because, they’re so, so cool but heck, I also live in Florida and can’t justify the cost. I saw someone else wearing these and then went into DSW to check them out in person. They didn’t have my size in store so I ordered them online but they’re so comfy & can’t beat the $70 price tag. I am also signed up for one of their lists so we get coupons in the mail every so often — an extra $10-$25 off footwear there is amazing. Will let you know how they feel after a few wears but didn’t want them to sell out before me telling you. They come in five colors.
