Outfit: Working the Denim Jacket

The last month has been in.sane. While it’s been great to now work from home, it’s come with some obvious and not so obvious challenges that I’m trying to work through. One perk however: typically casual attire! I’m often now found wearing denim but mixed it up yesterday for a few meetings in Downtown West Palm Beach. I love a great pair of slim chinos — this pair from J. Crew Factory — and this Florida girl is embracing the denim jacket and open-toed bootie. These booties are equally great with dresses (seen here), or more casually with denim & a tee or cozy sweater.  Opt for a pair with a thicker heel, like this one from Vince Camuto, that making trekking around town a breeze. I don’t know about you but my feet can’t handle high heels like they used to.

Have a more corporate office? Swap the denim jacket for a burgundy or olive green cardigan (or khaki blazer), and a pair of smokin’ yet comfortable pumps.

So, PS: green juice is having a moment and I must admit in love. If you’re drinking them for health purposes, avoid ones with too many sugary fruits, and know that ingredients are typically listed in order of most prominent first (i.e. if apple or orange is used before kale, beet or spinach, expect lots of added sugars). A few favorite spots to grab a juice are The Bee and Field of Greens in West Palm Beach, and Christopher’s Kitchen in Palm Beach Gardens.
