Beauty Steal: BeautyCounter at Target

beautycounter-target

Over the past 18 months, I’ve made a concerted effort to find safe skin and beauty products. While some just don’t cut it, others have become even better options than the products I had already been using. One brand now on my VIP list — Beautycounter — which bans more than 1,500 chemicals used in the industry.

A few friends have become consultants, and now, in a really cool move the brand has a limited time collection with Target in stores and online that features a number of exclusives as well as smaller versions of a few of my favorite products. Promise you that you’re going to want to get your hands (and skin!) on this. Plus, the packaging is just so pretty.

SAFER BEAUTY PRODUCTS WITH BEAUTYCOUNTER AT TARGET

First and most importantly: cleansing balm. Have you tried a cleansing balm? Featured in a bazillion beauty publications — Harper’s Bazaar called it a “pot of gold” — this balm melts into your skin to remove make-up and grime while keeping your skin hydrated. I’ve always felt make-up removers could make my face feel dry and tight, but this balm, loaded with Vitamin C to brighten your appearance and a variety of oils to hydrate your skin, leaves your skin feeling supple and soft. Plus, it’s also perfect for a quick hydrating mask; simply leave it on for 10 minutes and let it melt into your skin. It’s on special on the main Beautycounter site through today or sample it via Target. You’re going to become a convert like me.

Two other standouts at Target: the face oil and the charcoal mask.  The plant-based oil easily soaks into your skin (unlike synthetic options) and then watch as you wake to instantly hydrated skin. I’ve even put a dab on my heels and then put on socks in the winter — works wonders! Plus, all my friends are obsessed with the charcoal mask, and with good reason. I’ve used it a few times now and it draws out impurities and leaves my skin feeling softer, brighter and refreshed.

I’ve never heard of this company, but they sound great!

The statistics on beauty product regulations (or lack thereof) are truly frightening! I have. A friend who is a consultant as well and I’ve been meaning to chat with her. Thank you for the reminder!
