Five Best Sites for a Deal on Designer

TAGG - 5 Best Designer Sites

I like nice things. I also like a deal in a really fierce way. I’m not one who can justify $3,000 on a purse and I won’t buy a $300 blouse (it’s a blouse) but I do have a balance where I am willing to “invest” in better quality pieces. I’m at a point in my life where I rather own fewer nice things… balanced by my Target finds, naturally.

I’m a big online shopper these days; between two kiddies and two jobs, it’s just so much easier. I’ve also made a habit out of selling items I no longer wear on the app, Poshmark (i’m at @avggirlsguide), which is also a place where you can get amazing deals (my friend Ceci regularly scores Tory Burch at a steal!).

While you can get some pretty incredible deals at regular stores like Bloomingdales, Saks, Nordstrom & more — many of which that offer even better in-store deals a few times per year — there are also a handful of sites worth adding to your bookmarks the next time you’re on the hunt.

6pm.com: an absolute favorite! The rest of the list is not ranked but 6pm.com has to be my favorite for years now. Not only can you find deals on Steve Madden and your kids’ Sketchers, they now also carry Mara Hoffman, Amanda UprichardStuart Weitzman (I get my daughter the boots for around $30!), and way more.

Neiman Marcus Last Call: I learned to look here more often after seeing a few bargain bloggers regularly link here, and for good reason. I’ve even seen some items here that I’ve still seen in regularly stores.

TheOutnet.com: when you’re talking real designer, like Alexandra Wang, Fendi, DvF, Missoni and brands so cool I’ve never even heard of them, head here for a steal. I once ordered a regularly $238-ish silk button down by Equipment during a mega sale and only have great things to say.

Saks Off 5th Avenueone of these opened near me at Palm Beach Outlets last year and it’s SO good. Yes, you have to be in the mood. There’s so much inventory that, just like online, you do best when looking for something specific (i.e. new shoes, men’s button-downs, new summer tote) compared to just open-ended shopping. That leaves me personally frustrated but man, you can walk out of here with everything from a new Rebecca Minkoff to a new designer dress for a wedding at a killer price.

Daily Deal Sites like my two favorites, Rue La La & Gilt. Deal sites are nothing new these days and there are literally hundreds now all vying for our attention however some of the big ones still have some pretty fantastic brands still regularly in the mix, particularly Gilt when it comes to designer. It can be annoying to get their daily emails but if you’re a bargain hunter, consider it!

Don’t forget about these places: eBay, your local thrift or vintage shop, consignment stores and again, Poshmark.

You wouldn’t believe how many things I’ve scored on eBay! It’s seriously the best when you’re looking for a specific item, particularly something from last season. Definitely going to check out these other sites as well! Amazing post lady!
