Welcome to Modern Savvy Moves!
Movement — of your body and your mind — is transformative and vital, particularly during what has been a season more challenging than perhaps many of us have lived through before. We are being tested, and yet, we have so much opportunity. I see it, and I hope you do as well.
In running and in life, I believe it is this simple: show up, just start by putting one foot in front of another… and cheer on other women along the way.
Join us in OCTOBER 2021 for the return of our MODERN SAVVY RUN AND WALK CLUB (details below), and this is the spot with the scoop on all upcoming virtual events, Instagram or Facebook Lives, etc. So far, we’ve done workouts, stretching sessions, learned about our pelvic health, and there’s more on the horizon. Everything is currently saved as IGTV videos on my Instagram page (@themodernsavvy).
OCTOBER 2 at 10:30 AM – STRENGTH WORKOUT FOR ALL LEVELS!
Join me and Briana of Palm Beach Moms for a morning of strength training workout with my favorite trainer Jenna Simon, new friends, light bites, and swag. Open to all levels (and all women). Bring a mat, and optional: light weights (2-5 lbs, not required).
We’ll be in the former J Crew space at The Gardens Mall, now the Style Club. Park at Nordstrom or the Brio entrance then come up to the 2nd floor. Reserve your space by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org$10 payment at the door. Workout designed and adapted for all levels.
OCTOBER 9 at 10 AM – YOGA WITH BRIE OF FLORIDA YOGA MOM
Join us with Briana of The Palm Beach Moms for a peaceful morning of yoga with the bestest, Brie of FloridaYogaMama. Meet other great women, and enjoy swag, too! Bring a mat, and get ready to feel renewed.
The event will be at VentureX at Rosemary Square (formerly CityPlace). Make it a day and browse around Rosemary Square and check out the Downtown GreenMarket.

1. Download the Nike Run Club app (it’s free)
2. Request me as a friend (Alyson Seligman)
3. I’ll accept you and then request you to join the Modern Savvy run club challenge
4. You can find the challenge on the bottom right of the app, second from the right (the people icon). Once you’ve been added, you can invite and add your friends to join.
That’s it – you’re in! Each month we set a miles goal, November 2020 being 35. That might sound easy or daunting. Don’t let it deter you. WE MEET YOU WHERE YOU ARE AND CELEBRATE WHAT YOU CAN DO. This is not a competition, it’s a community. I only ask that you push yourself and prove to yourself that you can, that you are strong, and that you are capable. If you wind up walking five miles that you wouldn’t have, that’s a victory.
