Casual Midi Dress, Talbots x Oprah Magazine Collection

I have a sign at my desk, “What would Oprah do?”

No joke. I’m a mega Oprah fan, so any partnership that involves the queen, cute clothes and giving back (i.e. three of my favorite things!!) is one I obviously MUST share with all you.

For the fourth year, Talbots and O, The Oprah Magazine partnered to create a fab capsule collection (think it’s the cutest one yet!), with 30% of proceeds benefiting Dress for Success, an amazing organization I personally support that gives women the tools they need for economic independence.

You might recall last year’s collection (styled here), and this year, I’m even more excited by the collection’s casual vibe, inspired by the brand’s more laid-back and cozy “T by Talbots” line. This dress is such a winner in a perfect heathered grey/black, and works on all heights (I’m 5’3 for reference). I’d also style it with black slides, sneaks or definitely throw in a pop of color, or a fun earring. From the collection, I also love, love this striped long-sleeve top — I saw in store and it’s super soft, plus the details along the hem make it extra special.

Quick stats, because I’d be totally remiss not to share this awesomeness: in four years, more than 100,000 women have benefited from this partnership, with more than $4 million raised, and more than 15,000 boxes of business attire donated to deserving women! I love how this demonstrates women helping and empowering women… my heart is bursting as we support each other (cheesy but true).

Every piece in today’s outfit is from Talbots by the way, including the charm bracelet I have barely taken off since I got it last week. So stinkin’ cute, right? I’ve been wanting a charm bracelet — 80s baby, lol! — but they can be so pricey so this one is such a find (also have been layering it with an enamel bangle a la Hermes for a cool contrast). I’ve gotten so many compliments on it, and it also comes in the fun layered necklace option.

By the way, this black crossbody purse, which comes in a few colors, is a great find — love the studded detail, and its small yet the size and shape means it holds so much. If you can snag it during one of the sales, I highly suggest!
