Happy mid-September! I can’t believe we’ve gone from weekends by the beach to already scarfing down Trader Joe’s candy corn flavored popcorn. Not just me, right? 🙂 Now we just need some cooler weather and I’ll be set. Now, i am excited to share with you my current favorites for this month.
As always, you can also visit my Amazon shop for my favorite Amazon finds (this post about 25 Amazon finds under $30 was the most popular post last month), and my “What’s Trending” page for outfit details from my Instagram posts, how to join our private Facebook group & more.

WHAT I’M EYEING FOR FALL: Purses from Target
You know the story: go to Target for very specific items, walk out $250 and many, many more purchases later. Sarah came with me so obviously our extras included slime supplies (moms: she’s an expert if you need a consult!) and I couldn’t get over all the fun purses, many of which looked like great quality… and definitely better than their mostly under $30 price tags. In particular, I saw so many fun purses with cool handle details, fun faux fur or great shapes like the circular style that’s carrying over from summer. Plus, if you love my Madewell leather crossbody (seen here) but don’t love the price, this one is a seriously good look-for-less (and it includes a shorter strap, which mine doesn’t). For those wondering, I’m wearing an older Target tank; here’s the newer version (really cute with black denim).
WHAT I’M WATCHING: ATYPICAL
A friend mentioned this heartfelt show that follows a teenager named Sam on the autism spectrum who is ready for romance and independence. I can’t believe I hadn’t heard about the show — which just completed its second season (about 18 :30 minute episodes) — and didn’t have it on our best shows to binge watch. The show provides an interesting perspective, is equally emotionally compelling and humorous, and also digs into the dynamics of Sam’s family, with the mom and dad played by Michael Rappaport and Jennifer Jason Leigh. I really liked how the second season added actors on the spectrum, and delve more into Definitely watch.
SALE I’M LOVING: BaubleBar Sale — up to 25% off
If you’ve been following here for a while, you know I love, love BaubleBar for costume jewelry. Even without the sale, the prices are really good, but now you can take advantage of 25% off nearly everything, including most monogrammed and initial pieces. Bigger earrings remain a popular trend — and will look cute with your usual outfits plus chunkier cardigans and sweaters — and some of the cool tortoise shell and acrylic hoops are really speaking to me. I have the tortoise shell pair in my cart.
WHAT I’M LISTENING TO: GOAL DIGGER PODCAST
I’m all about podcasts these days and Jenna Kutcher’s called Goal Digger is one of my favorites! If you’re in an entrepreneur, small business owner or creative, you’ll love this podcast that talks about everything from productivity and branding to business solutions and tangible solutions. I’m really into Jenna these days (on Instagram, her email, all of it!), her honesty, body positivity, etc., and think you will adore her as well.
FALL TRIP I LOVE: MICKEY’S NOT SO SCARY HALLOWEEN
We are SO excited to be taking Sarah back for our third time this October to Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween at Disneyworld. The event officially starts at 7 pm, where the entire park has a Halloween theme including a Halloween parade (so good!), a Haunted House, specialty food and drinks, and of course, trick-or-treating. Best of all: you can get to the park as early as 4 pm, so you have plenty of time to enjoy all of the rides. I am insanely inpatient and standing in lines drives me nuts so you should know that even with the shortened time frame we ride more rides during this event than we do on a blistering hot regular day in Disney… and well, it’s way more fun! We closed the park down last year in order to get on Space Mountain for the fourth time! You can also wear costumes, though we typically go for cute Target Halloween tees.
PS: if you need a road trip snack, I highly suggest the new candy corn popcorn at Trader Joe’s. 😉
