The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale (#nsale) is still in presale mode for Nordstrom card holders, however since it’s opening on July 20th for public access I wanted to share with you some of my favorite Nordstrom Anniversary Sale finds. They’re all in stock as I’m writing this and sure, there are a million adorable shirts and flannels and boots and whatever, and I’ll be sharing one or two more fall outfit planning posts, however so much of that can wait. IT’S JULY. I’d like for it to be cooler but it’s 94 degrees here in Florida.
The best ways to utilize your budget are to purchase or stock up on items for your home or wardrobe that rarely go on sale, that you’ve been debating for ages or that you just need to refresh.
See what I mean…
Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Best Random Finds:
We’re OBSESSED with these towels. I ordered white ones two years ago during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, and then ordered a few more hand towels last summer. They’re insanely soft and dry us well, and two years later, look and feel like brand new. It’s one of those purchases you rarely think about but once you have new towels you immediately think, why did I wait this long? They come in 18 colors, and a heads up, there are both bath sheet and bath towel options.
Pssst… been using this detox exfoliating scrub the last few days — it’s a $10 Amazon buy — and it’s awesome! My skin feels so smooth, particularly my upper arms where it’s always super dry. I put nearly all of my Amazon purchases in my Amazon shop — you can save or bookmark this.
A new bra, namely this one
This Halogen bra! Another 2017 #nsale find… it’s currently under $20, comes in a bunch of colors, has a flattering deep v shape so it also stays concealed with most of my tops, holds my girls in, is lower around the armpit, and has the slightest bit of padding… i.e. no nipple show. 😉 Plus, there’s no wires. The best and so comfortable! If you need more support, the Natori bras are where it’s at — check out the reviews for serious proof.
Gifts for baby (not necessarily yours!)
Last year I made the genius move of ordering about seven gifts from Nordstrom anniversary sale for baby shower and new baby gifts… genius because they were a great price, cute items, and Nordstrom ships free! Cross that off the to-do list. If you’re in the market for baby gifts, I live for getting adorable shoes for little ones… it’s a fun splurge that mama might not do amidst the gazillion diapers & other necessities. I rounded up a few favorites baby items here:
Spanx leggings (here)
Ladies, so many of you joined me on the faux leather Spanx train last year… I feel like we need to update our Savvy Squad with the Spanx Savvy Squad! 😉 They’re so insanely flattering (sucks you in!), are equally cute with sneakers or heels or boots, with a tunic, sweater (my favorite zippered back sweater is actually back in the #nsale), or a sweatshirt. See what I mean when I say versatile?! I’m equally obsessed with this camo pair but mama already has another pair of non faux leather spanx camo leggings so this pair would sadly be excessive. If your budget permits, these are an awesome, awesome purchase.
PS: there’s lots more Spanx in the sale, too!
Living the cozy life! Nothing makes me happier than cuddling up on the couch or my bed with a seriously cozy throw or Barefoot Dreams cardigan. These three throws are all amazing, have fantastic reviews and have seriously cozy cool vibes (even love getting one for a guest room)… all at various price points. From left to right: plush throw ($25 & 17 colors), Barefoot Dreams ($118), and Treasure & Bond ($65).
A really lovely candle
Nope, not necessary in any capacity but I’ve learned this year that there really is a difference between the cheapy candles and the quality. And, I’ve also discovered how happy it makes me to have a great smelling candle in my home.
NEST are insane amazing, and I was also introduced to Basik Candle Co grapefruit + mangosteen candle at the local coffee shop/boutique B-Noon in West Palm Beach (in the Villages), and it’s honestly perfection. Sadly not at Nordstrom but there are so many great candles at the sale, including from Nest, Volupsa, Ilume & more — for your kitchen, bathroom, by your bedside — or to grab for a gift. Plus, use the empty container as a pretty storage container (think pencils, makeup brushes, cotton balls, loose change, anything).
A Cozy Cardigan
Can we call this an unnecessary, necessary purchase? I basically live in cozy cardigans, even in Florida in 90 degree weather. Yup, it’s at home in my AC but seriously; you can wear them at home, to the movies, errands, for travel, the list goes on. Whether you get one during this sale or otherwise (I have a few Barefoot Dreams and I swear by them…. currently trying to justify this or this, though I also love, love the look of this lighter-weight option!).
