The Little White Dress

We all know about the LBD — the little black dress. But, the little white dress — the LWD! — doesn’t always get the attention it deserves. I absolutely live for white accessories, beautiful white blouses (in contrast to the typical black top/jeans look) and of course, LWDs.

This Lilly Pulitzer dress is everything a little white dress should be: fun, flirty, perfect for summer and easy to wear for any occasion. These are the types of dresses I gravitate toward; they’re special, with beautiful construction, cool details like the pom poms and something that makes a statement, without being showy.

I can’t say enough good things about this little white dress; best of all, consider it a blank canvas where you can mix and match your accessories every time. I love the idea of a neutral wedge and a fun printed purse like this or this.

By the way, I love my heels but didn’t even realize quote how popular they are. The “yaro” sandal, Sam Edelman now makes more than two dozen colors, prints, styles. I think it’s because it’s the perfect combo of flattering silhouette and comfortable style with a block heel.
