As much as I’m all about the cozy cute holiday style, I have been getting some questions about more formal options for holiday cocktail parties, weddings and dare I say already, New Year’s Eve. I’m not one to turn down an opportunity to glam it up for a night… so here it goes (plus, there’s a fab sale involved!).
As you know, I’m a long-time fan of Maggy London — their dresses fit so, so well — so I’m excited to feature two cute holiday party dresses today, one a gorgeous, glam LBD for fancy cocktail receptions and weddings (I plan to wear it for a wedding next month!), as well as an sequin number that’s so fantastic I can’t help but shimmy and dance when I wear it.
Best of all, Maggy London is kicking off its Black Friday deal… take 40% off the whole site, with early Friends and Family access starting today! I’m pretty partial to all the cocktail dresses… seriously, check it out if you have any sort of events coming up. Nearly everything is under $100 with the sale.
Cute Holiday Party Dresses:
BLACK TIE/WEDDING/OFFICE PARTY
When it comes to this time of year, don’t forget to take out your special heirlooms. This bracelet is actually a watch that my grandmother passed down to me, gifted to her from my grandfather for their anniversary one year. It means everything to me… plus, it’s bonkers gorgeous.
Dress: c/o Maggy London (also available in a jumpsuit)
Heels: Aldo, found at DSW on clearance; more silver heels from DSW here.
Clutch: Michael Kors (super old; my favorite envelope clutches, all under $100)
Earrings: c/o Sugarfix by Baublebar (sold out; go for this or this)
FUN HOLIDAY PARTY / NEW YEAR’S EVE
When you have an opportunity to wear sequins — especially when they’re rose gold sequins — please do! I mean, what can make a girl happier than a fabulous sequin dress where you sparkle wherever you go? What I like most about this Maggy London number is that it’s super flattering, comes in regular and petite sizes and is not at all showy… yet feels totally sexy and fun. For sizing, I’m wearing a size 2P though I could go down to a 0P for a tighter fit (and yup, this runs larger so size down. I’m never a 0P!).
Dress: c/o Maggy London
Heels: Steven (on sale)
Earrings: Kendra Scott (more Kendra Scott earrings)

November 22, 2017 at 7:59 AMOh my goodness this post is just full of gorgeousness! I love both of these dresses and the watch your grandmother passed on to you is OH MY WORD (I’m sorry I can’t think of a word to accurately depict it)! I wish I had some place special to go because I would seriously be wanting one of these dresses.
Happy Thanksgiving!
