My ultimate! I have this in three colors (including white… not sheer). They’re under $20, wear well, and are flattering. I love, love this blush color for fall; would look so good with black or grey denim, and of course, white denim, too. Wearing size small, and you can find more sizes and styles here.

Express cut-out tee

Seriously, Express’ tee game is SO good. I cannot get over how many styles they have with cool details often reserved for “designer” tees (which by the way, what is that?!). You can usually score them under $20 (just hold out for a 30-40% off sale). Wearing size small. Not quite as budget-friendly but this Free People front keyhole cutout tee is amazing.

 

J. Crew camo & gold splatter paint tee

Camo AND gold…. it’s like they made it for me (and you, obvs). It’s a bit of a thicker/stiffer cotton compared to the first two, which I really like… has a structure to it. J. Crew also has a fantastic t-shirt selection, and I’m appreciating they lowered the prices a bit too. Wearing a small here. Only a few sizes left so check out this Gap camo for a similar look.

The striped tee 

Everyone needs a good striped tee (or five, lol). This is from Target’s new collection, A New Day, and it also has a bit of a thicker material that still feels cozy. The pocket & cuff details in a contrasting stripe add a cool detail, and a rounded hem provides a flattering silhouette. You’d never know this was this budget-friendly. Wearing an X-Small. (Currently on sale for under $12, and also love this for $8).

The BP knotted tee

You guys loved the cold-shoulder version of this tee so much last spring… so did I! I think it’s one of the top three most purchased items from The Modern Savvy, and with good reason. This non-color shoulder version is equally as good, and if you don’t have anything olive green, this is certainly a worthy first purchase. Comes in loads of colors and basically does the “half-tuck” look for you. Wearing a small. Long-sleeve version here.

The ultimate white tee (available in 9 colors, and now on sale)

As you can tell by my iPhone snap, this was a recent purchase. 😉 I had been eyeing it forever so I finally pulled the trigger… I’m white tee/top and accessories obsessed. This grommet neck tee is so super cool, slightly sexy and yet not at all revealing. Can also dress it up with skinny jeans, heels & statement earrings, and comes in nine color options. For sizing, I’m wearing a small here but think an XS would be better. I plan on ordering to compare.
