Outfit: Floral Dresses for Every Occasion

Baby and bridal shower, and wedding season is upon us. This means… all the florals and cuteness! When it comes to fashion, florals are absolutely here in a BIG way, from frilly girly ones with ruffles like mine to more sophisticated darker print options that can easily be fancied up.

I recently realized I haven’t purchased a new dress in ages so during a sale I couldn’t resist this one, featuring the prettiest shoulder ruffles and bow back detail. It’s out of my comfort zone and a fun new addition to my spring and summer wardrobe. For chillier events — or blasting AC — grab your denim jacket or wrap — to stay warm. For this daytime look, you can keep the accessories neutral or pull from the outfit… in this case, a blush or red purse would make for a major statement accent.

PS: anyone else embracing this new circular purse trend? I’m insanely in love with this leather one from Madewell, which comes in a handful of colors. And these heels, which are dupes of this popular taller pair, are flattering and leg lengthening without the pain of mega 4″ heels.  ‘Cause that’s how I roll (err, well, walk).
