Blast from the Past: Striped Dress

I am so happy to hear that you guys like this new “Blast from the Past” series as much as I do (first one here). Instead of sharing an outfit full of brand-new items, I’m pulling out older items from my closet to demonstrate how I wear them today. I have often felt pressured to show you new, new, new when that’s not realistic for my life… or my wallet. Comment, email or connect with me if there’s something you’d like to see featured here.

Next up: this oldie but goodie Gap striped dress. Eventually I’ll need to let her go but not yet. This dress, from around 2011, has served me so well… from casual to work, I’ve worn this puppy everywhere. Honestly surprised the black is still black and the white isn’t yellow…. Gap, you made a major winner (as if they’re reading this!). 😉  Nearly every lady has a striped dress and if not, it’s a worthy closet addition because it’s absolutely one of those pieces you’ll wear over and over again. If you’re looking for a new way to wear yours, here’s my go-to, coincidentally an outfit filled with lots of closet essentials.

What’s your favorite way to wear it? I equally love the idea of adding some bright fuchsia heels for a night out, or some fun pom pom sandals for a casual afternoon.
