Weekend style is a fam favorite. Sarah wears a uniform during the week so the weekend is all about creative, comfy and cute attire….. for both of us. As Sarah gets older it can be difficult to find age-appropriate clothing. She’s really, really tall for her age so it’s easy to wind up with short shorts and tops I don’t find appropriate.
Lucky for me, she’s also a fan of the cozy cute athleisure trend! Hello, thumb holes for the win. 🙂
I’m typically a denim girl, but since I love getting to the gym on the weekends, my best tip is to slip on a pair of workout pants with a comfier shirt if you’re not working out first thing. This way, you’ll be ready to roll after morning errands, the green market or kiddie birthday party. I usually hit the gym around 1 pm when Evan takes a nap, and sometimes Sarah joins me now. These Gap Kids leggings are her jam — they have this shiny, almost faux leather look, that can be dressed up or down (we own 2 pairs). As Sarah gets older, I find she doesn’t want to wear typical leggings anymore like she did when she was younger so these offer the comfort with a cooler edge.

I just have to tell you that I had a little giggle, and felt old, because I was wearing that exact same choker when I was around her age 15-20 years ago! So funny how trends come back around!
