Outfit: It’s Cardigan Season

I swear cozy cardigans and sweaters were invented by the gods. If you’ve been reading around here for a while you know my Barefoot Dreams cardigan is one of my most favorite items ever (fact, I put it on almost nightly right when I get home, and yes, often in the summer!). More recently I’ve been looking for a light-weight comfy black topper; I really only had a black blazer. I impulsively purchased this during the Shopbop sale last month and I couldn’t be happier. The waffle-knit jersey fabric is so insanely soft (Splendid is known for it, and always delivers) and the swingy shape — with pockets! — provides flattering coverage with the longer in the front and just past the tush in the back style.

Anyway, this is pretty much my fall go-to: tee (loving olive green anything!), distressed denim, cardigan, an easy piece of jewelry, and booties.

Oh beloved booties. As soon as it becomes weather appropriate these black leather booties with a brown sole get worn with pretty much every outfit. Would you believe they’re from a comfort brand? I laugh because I had been looking for something so similar for two or three years when I stumbled across these in Nordstrom last winter; success! But Kork-Ease? Well turns out they make super cute shoes that are ultra comfortable. These booties look as good as the day I got them and are so insanely comfortable thanks to great padding, good size shoe box and a thicker, not too high heel.
