A bit of nostalgia returns today, this time in the form of new Netflix series, Fuller House, a glimpse forward from the cheese-filled, 1987-1995 sitcom, Full House. The original focused on D.J. Tanner’s dad who enlisted the help of his brother-in-law and childhood best friend after his wife passes away and he’s left with three girls.
Now, all these years later, D.J. Tanner-Fuller is a widow and mother of three. Things become too much to handle, so she asks for help from her sister, Stephanie, and her best friend, Kimmy. (PS: love, love, love that D.J. and Kimmy are also still major bff IRL!).
Nearly all of the original cast is back with the exception of the mega famous Olsen twins, who were just babies when the original first started. If you peruse a gossip mag or two, you’ve likely heard rumblings about this; well, here’s the official scoop. Fair enough!
Are you pumped to watch the show? I’m definitely going to check out for at least an ep or two. I remember feeling similar to DJ back in the day; we were both a little awkward, yet very sweet girls, both with chubby cheeks working to come into our own. I’ve also seen a few episodes of Girl Meets World, the sequel to Boy Meets World, with loves for life, Corey and Topanga, and while cheesy and a little lame, it’s also adorable and brings back loads of memories.
Will be curious your thoughts on Fuller House! In the meantime, watch the trailer here:
