Do you have those nights when you’re going somewhere super casual but maybe you’re having dinner or apps first, or there’s the possibility of grabbing a drink after. It’s like I want to wear a sweatshirt and pj pants but still look pulled together. Oh, and heels are definitely not happening. I’m such a flats girl.
I purchased this tank at Anthropologie during its Black Friday sale and have already worn it so, so many times. I only tried it on after being convinced by an employee; it looked so blah on the hanger but figured why not. Well, the flattering draping (and ability to conceal the belly) is all things fantastic. I mean, you can see my frame, but also can’t see that I inhaled that mega popcorn and Sour Patch Kids (movie essentials). And, for what it’s worth, I also styled it for work with black pants so far so it has a versatility to it as well (and again, ability to eat an indulgent meal!).
You want to know how happy food makes me…
… I told you I love my eats! Ok, that’s also my happy face when I leave for date night, or girls night, or don’t have to deal with a insanely chaotic dinner prep & clean-up. We all deal with that insanity, right? Ok, but seriously… back to today’s post;
I know the weather up north has been so horrible (friends, hope you are all safe and warm!), however this is pretty much my “winter coat.” I wear this mixed media drapy jacket just about everywhere.
Tank: Anthropologie // Denim: J. Brand (old, I cut the hems off; try it on these or these) // Jacket: Kut from the Kloth (one of my most worn pieces for winter in Florida) // Flats: Gap (old; similar here or here) // Purse: Ann Taylor (sold out quickly; similar) // Ring: BaubleBar // Horseshoe (for luck!) necklace: Marson Boutique in Jupiter, Fla. // Hair: I use this Style Winder (so easy!)

January 27, 2016 at 11:47 AMI received the same jacket you are wearing from Stitch Fix. However, I had to return it because the size they sent me did not fit… I was upset because I loved it! I just ordered my correct size on Amazon! Thank you for the link! 🙂

January 27, 2016 at 9:51 AMLove the combination of neutrals, but mostly how excited you are! Making time for yourself is SO important, and while it’s easy to throw on sweats, it’s more fun to get a little dressed up 🙂

January 27, 2016 at 9:42 AMYes! This is the post I’ve been waiting for! So often my husband and I go out for dinner and I’m searching for outfit inspiration. But when you type “date night outfit” into your Pinterest search, the results are all dresses, heels, etc. I’ve never in my life worn a dress to dinner. That seems so over the top to me. We are just a normal couple going to normal restaurants. So glad you shared this look and I would love to see many more like it! My go to for dinner is usually my distressed skinnies, and Moto jacket with flats. This is totally up my ally! Thanks again for sharing and please, feel free to share more date night/girls night looks!
