My Favorites from the Sephora Holiday Savings Event

I’ve been meaning to get to this post for days however election, kiddos, potential hurricane, you name it, slowed me down… however the Sephora Beauty Insider Sale runs through today, Monday, November 9 so I wanted to share with you my favorite skincare and makeup products, along with what I ordered this time around. Use code HOLIDAYFUN for discounts from 10-20% based on your Sephora level. They only run this sale twice per year so it’s a fantastic opportunity to get discounts on items that rarely go on sale.

Here’s the Sephora Beauty Insider Sale Scoop

  • Rouge status: take 20% off!
  • VIB status: get 15% off + free shipping with $35 purchase; I’m at this level.
  • Insiders: take 10% off + free shipping with $50 purchase. Everyone can be an insider just by signing up.

As a heads up, Sephora also just launched all the holiday collections so this sale is ideal for holiday gift prep, or well, for you. For example, I ordered this Charlotte Tibury pillowtalk lip set; it’s such a good buy, and a universally flattering color. I’ve had this in my rotation the past year. The lip and liner cost more than this entire set, so toss in two glosses — deal.

What I ordered:

After having it in my cart for months, I pulled the trigger on the Biossance lactic acid treatment. I’ve been hearing about this brand and specifically this product and need to add an acid to my regular skincare routine.

Youth to the People Resurfacing Energy Facial. I recently finished an exfoliating facial so am finally trying this cult favorite. Read the reviews; I’m pumped for smoother skin!

First Aid Beauty KP Bump Eraser with 10% AHA. I stumbled across this and First Aid has my holy grail cleanser — I’ve probably purchased it five or six times — and the reviews of the brand’s bump eraser — you know those bumps on the back of arms that really suck? I got em so really hopeful, plus great price point.

Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Bum Bum Cream: total impulse purchase but I hear this cream WORKS to tighten AND smells incredible. Sold! Another item that had been in my cart for ages and decided to go for it for less than $20. My skin’s felt super dry lately and noticing less elasticity so excited to test this out. Check out those reviews, too!

What I love:

Including here my usuals. I never like to pretend I’m a beauty or skincare expert — I have a long way to go — but if I love a product I REALLY love a product.

For example, Pureology recently sent me their shampoo, conditioner and deep conditioner and OMG — they’re incredible! Would spend the money in a heartbeat after seeing how incredibly soft and manageable it made my hair feel. Funny enough, when I shared it in stories, I must have received 30-40 comments from women obsessed with this. Like how am I just learning about Purology?! If you can only get one, try that deep conditioner treatment!

Also, it’s currently sold out but Maison Louis Marie Candle is my favorite candle in the universe. It’s like this rich, sexy, woodsy smell that is subtly intoxicating in the best way. I also have two of these NEST grapefruit diffusers– one in my bathroom and one in the living; the most perfect, slightly citrusy fresh scent. Great gift too.

Wanting longer lashes? One hundred percent GrandeLash is the way to go. I use this consistently, and when I do, my lashes absolutely get longer. A lash primer on before mascara is critical for that extra impact.

And do you have creasing under your eye after using concealer? The Laura Mercier secret brightening powder is exactly what you’ve been missing. A sephora rep suggested this to me ages ago and it’s one of those holy grail products I could never live without again. A little goes a long way so it lasts a while. Best under $30 I spend.

Here are these, and my other long-time favorites:

I could go on but these are honestly what I use the most. With the little I’ve also been going out this year — as everyone can relate!) — along with now being 40, I’ve started really focusing my time and dollars toward great quality skincare; it’s all about well tested, science-driven, quality ingredients.

And super random, for years Fresh lip was my obsession, and while I still love and use it, I recently saw that Burt’s Bees in Red Delilah is this ultra hydrating, universally flattering lip for under $5 and holy guacamole, it’s so true. I’ve even had people ok, “I love your lip color! What is it?!” I’m definitely excited to now try it in other colors (it’s a super subtle wash of color). Random, but since we’re talking beauty… had to share!

Hi! I wound up getting filler. I tried Xeomin and we were hopeful but my skin didn’t take, sadly. They wound up crediting me toward the filler for the Xeomin, which was amazing. We thought it would work….

I was wondering if you ever returned to getting injections into your elevens? My derm is offering Xeomin (sp?) now and I guess that is less likely to cause your body to become immune to it? Have you tried this? I’m seriously looking into it.
