Four Drugstore Beauty Products I’m Loving Right Now

There’s something about discovering a fantastic and affordable beauty products that makes me incredibly giddy. You too? I’m sure most of us can relate to some products we obsessively love that are definitely pricier purchases and as I’m getting older, I’m all for investing in my skin and myself. Let’s just say my skincare game has definitely stepped up the past few years! That said, I equally live for finding effective, and ideally “clean” drugstore beauty products that don’t cost a fortune.

And, definitely include any drugstore beauty products or finds in the comments section that you’re loving as well! It’s basically your obligation to share here with our community.

Drugstore Beauty Products:

The Seaweed Bath Co. Exfoliating Detox Body Scrub: Holy happy skin! My skin has never been as soft as it has been since discovering this super budget friendly body scrub/exfoliator. In just one use, you’ll immediately sloughs all that dead, dull skin so you’re left with softer and smoother skin that feels moisturized, not at all dry. It mixes seaweed with French clay and coffee extract to purify and exfoliate, plus 65+ vitamins and minerals to detoxify and promote skin elasticity. I’ve been using it 2-3x/weekly for about three weeks and love the results, and I should say, I’m obsessed with the Awaken scent — it’s rosemary and mint, and seriously divine. By the way, you can use this scrub for your face but do so gently; I much prefer the brand’s micro-scrub that’s more delicate.  Get all things Seaweed Bath Co. on Amazon or Target (nothing’s over $20!)

NYX Butter Gloss: OK, so the NYX butter glosses have a bit of a cult following, and with good reason! If you follow here you know I already love the brand NYX — so many of their products are on par (and equally popular!) with brands like Tarte, Nars, etc at a fraction of the price. I also love, love their multi-tasking Wonder Pencil. As for Butter Gloss, they’re this non-sticky, super smooth and light to medium coverage glosses that give you this gorgeous hint of color… oh, and there are 34 to choose from! The color Creme Brulee, featured here, was my “gateaway gloss,” a gorgeous pale pink that gives you a bit of shimmer and basically looks good on everyone. I recently picked up two more at Ulta, because at $5, I couldn’t control myself, and each are equally awesome: angel food cake, and cupcake. How fun at the names, too?! Find them at Ulta or Amazon, and limited at Target.

Pixi Glow Tonic: I was at Target last month and asked on Instagram stories if there’s any Pixi products I should try. I used the brand years ago during a collab with Target but it had fallen off my radar. I got no less than 20-30 messages about this glow tonic. At just $15 bottle, this cruelty-free tonic has 5% glycolic acid to gently exfoliate your skin. Use it once or twice daily, and you should pretty immediately see and feel a difference. I swipe it on with a little cotton pad, after cleaning my skin, and then I finish with a serum and moisturizer. As the name implies — and countless reviews agree — you’ll start to see a glow to your skin! I’ll take all the glowing product finds. Thanks to everyone who suggested this!

Trader Joe’s Cream Shave: Ok, so hopefully this still counts at “drugstore beauty products” because at around $3, it’s amazing. Want proof? Adam, who never mentions any product ever, started using it and asked me if we could buy more of that “orange container shaving cream.” LOL, I swear to you this might be the third time in our 14 years of marriage he’s ever asked for a product. The honey mango smells amazing, and it never leaves my skin irritated, I never get any bumps (around the bikini line, etc), it’s moisturizing and a little goes a long way. I love finding random Trader Joe’s finds and this is definitely one for your next trip!

So glad you mentioned a product from the seaweed bath co because I’ve been wanting to try their stuff! I’ll definitely start with the body scrub haha! And for sure going to try Trader Joe’s Cream Shave. TJ never disappoints and for $3, I’m willing to take a chance on it!

Love that gloss too, though Lauren is constantly “borrowing” mine and forgetting to return them to me. Definitely checking out that shaving cream next time I’m at TJ’s!
