The Go-To White Top and Jeans

For some women, a black top and jeans are your go-to. I get it.

If you’ve been following me for a while you know that’s rarely my look, and I might have in fact over the years, tried to encourage friends to find a fun alternative (even if it’s navy!). Yup, there’s an entire rainbow but let’s face it… sometimes another basic can be equally awesome. Enter: white. It’s so good, I mean, hello… angels! 😉 Seriously, a white blouse — from a crisp button down to an ethereal boho and everything in between — can lighten up your face and provide that perfectly easy yet pulled together style. Trust me here.

This lace-up blouse is now on clearance at J. Crew Factory. It has that on-trend, lace-up with a thicker fabric and slightly boxier cut (perfect with a skinnier denim or a half tuck into another style). Even though it’s a bit lower — as other blouses are right now as well — go for a camisole bra — so it’s OK if it peeks through.
