Give it the Cold Shoulder

how to wear a cold shoulder blouse for spring // the modern savvy

The cold shoulder is CLEARLY here to stay ladies and honestly I love it! It’s super cute without being too showy, and the best part about a blouse like this compared to an off-the-shoulder is the bra situation. You can wear one and not having to worry about a strapless bra. Insert the “praise” hands raised emoji here! Being able to wear a regular bra of cami bra (I usually wear Coobie bralettes recommended from a few friends — they’re ultra comfy, come in a million colors and a ton of styles, too). I know I’ve heard from a number of women that this is a major consideration, and with good reason.

This specific cold shoulder was another impulse Target purchase (remember this dress?) that I’ve already gotten my money’s worth. I’ve worn it a few times… it’s kind of become the perfect date night shirt because I feel dressed up and don’t get too cold (yes, I know I sound 80) with the slightly flared 3/4 sleeve. Victory.

LOVE this! I haven’t gotten on the cold shoulder train yet (off-the-shoulder, yes!), but definitely tempted by this look. Also, totally thinking about pink sandals!

Pink sandals are so fun — I also just got a pair of hot pink and they just brighten every look!

Love the cold shoulder top on you! Sadly, it doesn’t really flatter my shape so I’ll have to live through you instead. 🙂

It doesn’t? Hey, everyone needs to know what works for them — you work a dress like it’s nobody’s biz! 🙂

Hi Jackie! I think it runs true to size… I’m wearing a small. I didn’t want it too small in the shoulders so the small is perfect!
