Outfit: Denim and Flats

I’ve said it before: I’m such a flats girl. I used to love a heel but then I got old. Ha, ok, and I got clumsier! And, busier, and I realized that flats served me pretty darn well. Plus, they’re way more stylish than they were years ago.

A good neutral flat — mine are the comfiest pair from Tory Burch — are a wardrobe essential in my book. I have to confess that I have never found Tory Burch shoes comfortable, and not worth the price tag… until these. They’re technically foldable, but I’m not in NYC swapping out shoes so I got them after hearing great reviews; the ultra cushy footbed and super soft leather make a beautiful combo. I wear them at least three times per week because they pair with everything, dresses and skirts, and are work appropriate, too.

Ok, and jewelry: what are you doing these days? I’m loving layering on delicate jewelry, and also longer pendants. Would you believe my necklaces are a set from BaubleBar? I loved how pretty they look together (plus takes the guess work out of me wondering if they “go”), and yet could be worn separately as well… so many options. In general though, I totally believe if you love the way it looks together, then it goes. Plus, when it comes to fashion, the best part is that each look is only one day, and then you get to start with a blank slate tomorrow. Have fun with how you mix things up.
