Recent Amazon Purchases

You guys, I’m nosy. I love to know what people eat, where they shop, the brand of their clothes, and what they buy. I guess that’s why people watching is so fun.

So, Amazon. This post is in no way sponsored (I wish!); Amazon is just my black hole of happy purchases because it’s become such a crazy useful place for me to shop. I have friends who get their toilet paper from there, I get my diapers (those suckers are heavy to carry from the grocery store when it’s 98 degrees outside!) and everything else you can imagine.

I used to share every so often my random Amazon purchases and since you guys seem to like my monthly Alyson’s Obsessions (yes, right?), I’m back sharing what’s been taking my money on Amazon.

Tumbler: this cutie was on a mega special the other day ($11!) so I impulsively purchased it after a fab, old college friend, Stacy, who runs She’s {kinda} Crafty posted the deal. She’s of course going to add a cute monogram to hers… and I’ll likely not… unless I buy one. 😉 It keeps bevvies hot or cold, and similar ones are often at least twice the price. PUMPED!

Gwyneth Paltrow’s “It’s All Easy”: I’m not sure why, but I’ve wanted this cookbook for a long time. I hear there are a number of great recipes, and I’m always game for the easy ones. Plus, it looks super pretty and earthy and healthy. I’m such a sucker. Stay tuned.

Bringing Up Bebe: ugh, Sarah is the best but also the world’s pickiest eater. A daily struggle. So, after reading a super long Facebook moms group thread about picky eating where about 10 moms raved about this book, I added it to my cart (along with the items above) and clicked, purchase. If the reviews say anything, I think this will be a hit. I know my inherent flaws… snacking, giving in sometimes, etc., but I’ve been trying some techniques and to no avail. With the start of the school year I’m determined to move this in the right direction.

TripodDid you watch my Wine Down Wednesday video on Facebook? I started a fun new weekly video series — hopefully making it more official with a youtube page soon enough! — and since using my soap to hold up my camera isn’t really supes professional, I ordered this budget/popular tripod for my iPhone… you know, so when I’m drinking wine hiding in my bathroom I can at least rest the phone on the counter. 😉 Ah, love you necessary Amazon purchase.

Mud Pie flamingo baby outfit: seriously, cutest thing ever, right? I can’t even. I recently purchased this for a friend’s new baby — I’m a big fan by the way of buying newborn gifts that are for 12-18 months in either outfits or shoes — because that’s when mamas really need/want/spend money on cute stuff. LOVE this cute outfit for a baby next summer! Plus, I ordered it in about five minutes, and two days later it arrived… bam.
French Toast uniform skirts: another thing about Sarah… the girl knows exactly what she likes. This includes her “fashion” where everyday has to be “stylish.” OY. A lot of uniform skirts/skorts can be knee length, which she hates, but it’s not like I’m letting her out there in booty shorts. These French Toast skirts are a great price and have a good mid-length, stylish look. I also ordered these from Lands’ End, which I have to say we like just a little better and are a higher quality — but we kept both since they’re two different looks.

So, so… that’s at least most of my recent purchases, diapers aside. 😉 What are your recent Amazon purchases? Anything fun, random, interesting or otherwise? Spill (or email me with the scoop!).

I don’t know how extreme Sarah’s eating is, but this book was a godsend for me! https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/1600940161/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1472253333&sr=8-1&pi=SY200_QL40&keywords=food+chaining+the+proven+6-step+plan+to+stop+picky+eating&dpPl=1&dpID=512mlmMRpzL&ref=plSrch
My son has significant sensory issues that are a factor in his picky eating, which may not relate to you, but this book gives some really concrete ways of building your child’s diet. Highly recommend it!!
